RACC Announces Hodag Heritage Days

(Rhinelander, Wisconsin – March 24, 2021) – The Rhinelander Area Chamber of Commerce is thrilled to announce Rhinelander’s newest event: Hodag Heritage Days! The event will run from Monday, May 17th through Friday, May 21st 2021. The week will feature art contests, scavenger hunts, Hodag decoration contests, Hodag heritage videos, promoted citywide Hodag foods and beverages, ending with a ‘parked parade’ and Hodag Day Designation ceremony on Friday May 21st. The chamber has been working on an event such as this for a couple of years now but due to the pandemic, had to postpone until this year. “If there’s one thing we’ve learned over the past year it’s that this town is resilient, and we support each other,” stated Chamber Event and Program Coordinator Rachel Boehlen. “There’s no town quite like ours and we wanted to give everyone an opportunity to celebrate our heritage. This is just the beginning.” The event will grow annually to become a major focus on the weekend with Hodag displays, performances and vendors.

The Chamber is partnering with the Pioneer Park Historical Complex and The Hodag Store on this brand new event but is looking for additional sponsors. Contact the Chamber directly for opportunities.
