Event Description:
Join former U.S. National Park Service Ranger and tracker Aimee Heavey on a three-hour winter

adventure. We’ll begin indoors, with some secret tricks- of-the-trade to expand your awareness, even in the silence of winter snows. Uncover hidden stories by exploring the woods, lake edge, and other points of interest at Nicolet College. Includes awareness skills, tracking, and winter tree and plant identification.

Dress warmly in layers and waterproof boots. Bring snowshoes, trekking poles (optional), water, and a snack. If needed, Nicolet also has snowshoes available for use at no charge.

Class will start in Northwoods Center Room 208-209 on the Nicolet Campus before heading into the woods on snowshoes.
