Tree of Love Ceremony

For more than two decades, Ascension At Home | Dr. Kate Hospice has joined with the community to welcome the holidays with an evening of warm memories, fellowship and sharing at the beautiful Tree of Love ceremony. Eleven years ago, their partner hospice program in Rhinelander began a similar tradition. These gatherings are a way to recognize the pain that exists in the hearts of many after a death, and to celebrate the memories that last. The lovely trees will remain lit throughout the holidays, as a reminder that those who have lived have left a lasting impression. Everyone is invited to both of these very special events. In Rhinelander, the 11th Annual Tree of Love ceremony will be held on Monday, December 4, 6 p.m. at Ascension At Home | Ministry Home Care Office (Old WPS Building). Everyone is invited to this special ceremony where we will recognize the pain of loss and begin the holiday season with hearts full of love and memories. For a $10 donation have your loved ones name read during the memorial and have a special memorial tag placed on the tree. For more information please call Mel Houg at 800.643.4663. Memorial donations are $10 for each light to be lit on the tree—requests must be received no later than November 27 to be included in the program.
