Summer Youth Theater Program

  • Share:
Event Description:
The Missoula Children’s Theatre, the nation’s largest touring children’s theatre company, is coming to Rhinelander!
Up to 60 local youth entering grades 1-12 are needed as cast members for the musical production of the "Emperor's New Clothes." FREE for all participants! Come join in the fun! Registration and information can be found at https://oneida.extension.wisc.edu/theater/ or call 715-365-2750. You do not need to be in 4-H to participate!
Two professional actor/directors will arrive in Rhinelander in their “little red truck” loaded with a set, lights, costumes, and props, everything it takes to put on a musical…except the cast. The team holds an open audition and casts 50-60 local students to perform in the production. The show is rehearsed throughout the week and two public performances are presented at the end of the week.
Oneida County 4-H is offering this program as a way to offer an affordable, accessible, and inclusive opportunity for youth and teens in Oneida County to learn life skills like creativity, communication, decision-making, problem solving, caring for others, making healthy choices, as well as to build self-esteem and resiliency!
This program is sponsored by Oneida County 4-H, Rhinelander Community Foundation, Boys & Girls Club of the Northwoods, ArtStart, and the School District of Rhinelander.
