Event Description:
Come One, Come All! The Rhinelander Historical Society will host a visit from Fur Traders who traveled the rivers and lakes of northern Wisconsin long ago. The date is Saturday, May 28, 2022, in the museum yard at 9 South Pelham St. 10am-4pm. A great family activity for Memorial Day weekend! There will be hands-on demonstrations and voyageur games. Jerry Disterhaft and Karen Crochiere will portray the Fur Traders in period costumes, and Jim Roman will display some of the artifacts that he has uncovered along river and streams in the area. Weather permitting, their Voyageur Canoe will be available for rides on Boom Lake on Sunday, May 29th at 11am No cost!!
