ArtStart in collaboration with the Rhinelander District Library will hold its third School of the Arts Legacy Program from September 26 through 29.
The four-day art retreat will continue to feature art classes and the Northern National Art Competition (NNAC) opening reception this year. New this year is School of the Arts' inclusion in a larger music, arts, and sustainability festival called Project North, which is making its debut in downtown Rhinelander September 26 through 28.
The retreat will kick off with the 32nd Annual Northern National Art Competition opening reception at Nicolet College on September 26 at 5 p.m.
The NNAC is a cooperative venture of the Northern Arts Council and the Nicolet College. A presentation on curating the show will be given by the show’s judge, Scott Stulen who is the Director and President of Philbrook Museum of Art in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Stulen is also an artist, writer, curator, programmer, and DJ.
