  • Due to a recent surge in COVID-19 cases throughout our region, it is vital that critical precautions be taken now in the interest of the health and safety of our families, neighbors and area businesses.

In Wisconsin, it’s in our nature to do right by our friends and neighbors. While visiting Rhinelander or patronizing Rhinelander Area businesses, please wear a mask when out in public, sanitize your hands often, keep gatherings small, maintain proper social distancing from others and aspire to be kind and understanding to all.

As you patronize businesses, please know that hours and operations may look different than normal. Reach out to businesses in advance to learn about their expectations, safety precautions and changes.

Thank you for doing your part – We’re all in this together even from six feet apart. ❤

Sigils for Travelers of I-94 | Andrea Carlson
    August 28 – October 31

“I squint my eyes at buildings and imagine what the land looks like underneath, that is Indigenous Futurism” - Andrea Carlson

Drawing on her Ojibwe heritage, Carlson creates images that “celebrate the joy of Indigenous people found in places that we’ve made for ourselves, in places that were necessitated because of our exclusion elsewhere.” The exhibition title incorporates the Latin meaning of Sigil—medicine or poison and the space along Interstate highway 94.
